Jump back in time at Mogo Village

9 km from Batemans Bay, Mogo village gives you a glimpse into the past. Established in the 1850s during the gold rush, Mogo became a prominent destination for prospectors hoping to strike riches digging for nuggets of gold. Today, many historical buildings have been preserved, providing a striking setting to shop for artisanal food, homewares, artwork, and brick-a-brack, among its heritage architecture.

If you want to have a treechange during your coastal Christmas in Eurobodalla, there is no better place than Mogo. Take advantage of its central location and have the perfect base to explore the region, join many events in November and participate in several activities in December. Just 2 km away, the Eurobodalla Botanic Gardens are a few minutes’ drive, enabling you to get back in touch with nature, traversing its landscaped gardens and walking trails.

While you can turn back time in historic Mogo, you can skip continents at Mogo Wildlife Park, where you can take a safari of sorts, spotting Sumatran tigers, lions, western lowland gorillas, and so much more. You can even organise animal encounters for people who like to get up close and personal.
