The drive from Canberra to Batemans Bay is a short yet beautiful one, taking only two hours via the Kings Highway (B52), with a driving distance of only 150km. To make the most of your time on the coast, you can take the short scenic drive straight there and experience the gorgeous ocean water and the incredible food options available. 

If you’re eager to see some sights on your road trip, why not pass through a few of the small yet beautiful towns just off the Kings Highway? Bungendore and Braidwood bring history, nature and culture together, with lovely cafes, galleries and antique shops that are nothing short of quaint. Bungendore is just a short drive from Lake George, so you can even head to the lake for a quick stop before hopping back on the highway. If you’re one for history, Braidwood has a rich historic past as an old gold mining town, nestled into the foothills of Mount Gillamatong. If you’re up for a walk, drive or picnic, Monga National Park has something for everyone, located a 35 minute drive south from Braidwood.

Taking a coach or bus from Canberra to Batemans Bay is an enjoyable and convenient way to travel, taking roughly 2-3 hours depending on the coach service.
