Take your taste buds on a gastronomic journey through Eurobodalla and meet some of our producers, growers, gourmets and chefs.
Eurobodalla has attracted a diverse and growing community of food producers. Built on the back of agri and aquaculture, the region has well evolved, but still authentically artisan, dairy and oyster growing industries.
Generations of experience and knowledge has passed down to our current cohort of farmers, honing their skills and instilling a deep understanding of the local environment that influences the quality and characteristics of the final product. This provenance is evident in the consistently high calibre produce that is available on our doorstep and that has justifiably earned Eurobodalla a reputation for world class oysters and cheeses.
Let’s face it, just about everyone loves food and we definitely can’t live without it. But we don’t always have an opportunity to see where our food really comes from or experience the many ways to combine food with fun!
Nothing speaks to a food lover like a food festival. Narooma Oyster Festival celebrates all things food related while holding up the fabulous mollusc as the king of the table. But you can enjoy oysters and a range of other food experiences all year round. Try an oyster tasting tour on board a kayak, learn the secrets of honey bees, or try your hand at kelp harvesting and turn it into a delicious super food.
Create your own amazing feast. Order a local produce hamper packed with delicious savoury and sweet creations from our local producers, growers and bakers. Or select your own goodies for a picnic basket from one of the regular farmers markets or from the specialty provedores. Let someone else do the cooking! Book a table in one of our many restaurants and cafes serving local seafood and creating delicious meals with the very best, freshest, seasonal ingredients. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, there will be a local star on every menu.
